Privacy notice

A plain description of the data this site handles. We keep it small on purpose.

What you give us: beta sign-up

When you sign up for a beta account we store your name and email address, and, only if you choose to give them, the markets you trade and what you wrote about your pain points and what you would like automated. We use this to contact you about the beta and to decide what to build. Each new sign-up also triggers a notification email to us.

Anonymous usage counts

To compare versions of our page, we record anonymous events: which message you were shown, and whether you viewed the page, clicked a button, ran a backtest or signed up. These are linked to a random id stored in your browser, never to your name or email. If your browser sends Do Not Track, we skip this entirely.

What stays on your device

We set no cookies. Your browser's local storage holds your theme choice, the message version you were shown, the random id above, and your paper account. You can clear these any time in your browser settings.

Server logs

Like most web servers, ours and our hosting infrastructure may record standard request details such as your IP address, the time and the page requested, for security and troubleshooting.

Market data

Prices are requested by our server from Yahoo Finance. Your browser does not contact Yahoo, so your IP address is not shared with them by this site.

Who sees your data

  • Us, to run the beta.
  • The services that run the site for us: the server hosting it and the email provider that delivers our notifications.
  • We do not sell your data, run advertising, or use third-party trackers.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep sign-up details until you ask us to delete them or the beta ends. You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.

Contact

For any privacy request, use the beta sign-up form and say what you would like us to do.
